Characteristics of the declarative SQL language. Division of SQL syntax into DQL, DML, DDL, and DCL. Data Query Language (DQL) features:

- Combining inner and outer tables
- UNION operator
- Nested subqueries (in the WHERE clause, table names, column names)

Data Modification Language
