Java Performance Training Course
This course is designed for Java developers aiming to build high-efficiency applications. In consultation with the client, the training can also be tailored for professionals who primarily need to identify performance issues, such as testers and system administrators, in which case hands-on Java programming is not required.
Throughout the training, participants will gain insights into the methodologies and modern tools essential for developing efficient Java software. The curriculum covers common performance pitfalls, benchmarking, profiling, tuning, memory analysis, and optimization techniques involving collections and I/O operations. Since the focus is on language-level performance, tools, and embedded libraries, the learned concepts and tools are applicable across various project technologies. Additionally, the session on tuning addresses JVM parameters provided by Oracle.

Advanced Java Security
21 HoursEven seasoned Java developers do not necessarily master all the security services offered by Java, nor are they always aware of the various vulnerabilities relevant to web applications written in Java.
Alongside introducing the security components of Standard Java Edition, this course addresses security issues in Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) and web services. Discussions on specific services are grounded in the foundations of cryptography and secure communication. Through various exercises, the course covers declarative and programmatic security techniques in JEE, as well as both transport-layer and end-to-end security for web services. The use of all components is demonstrated through practical exercises, allowing participants to experiment with the discussed APIs and tools firsthand.
The course also examines and explains the most frequent and severe programming flaws in the Java language and platform, as well as web-related vulnerabilities. In addition to typical bugs committed by Java programmers, the security vulnerabilities introduced cover both language-specific issues and problems arising from the runtime environment. All vulnerabilities and relevant attacks are demonstrated through easy-to-understand exercises, followed by recommended coding guidelines and potential mitigation techniques.
