Requirement for Superset Consulting A major financial services firm aimed to transition from an industry-leading BI solution used in a key product to an Open Source system (Superset) to achieve significant savings on license costs.
Deliverables NobleProg conducted multiple project meetings with the client to thoroughly grasp the requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. Based on these discussions, we developed a detailed Statement of Work to guide and monitor the project. Our lead consultant focused on aligning the existing data architecture to meet the reporting needs for various report types. The NobleProg lead consultant recommended adjustments to the data stores to optimize Superset usage and ensure peak performance, while providing guidance to the team implementing these changes. After optimizing the data store and data pipeline, our consultants began developing and deploying a range of reports based on existing requirements and new requests from the business and customers. To present the data as requested, custom plug-ins were developed to enable more interactive data presentation features (such as drill-downs).
Outcome The consultants have been creating new dashboards while ensuring that sufficient knowledge is transferred to the customer organization to maintain the dashboards and reports.
The project is currently ongoing and has been well received by both the customer's business and their end clients. To highlight the project's success, it has been expanded and extended to include additional products and end clients.
