Superset Data Visualisation and Dashboard Consulting Requirement
A major financial services organization aimed to reduce license costs significantly by transitioning from an industry-leading BI solution in one of its core products to an Open Source system, specifically Superset.
Deliverables NobleProg engaged in several project meetings with the client to fully comprehend the requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. Based on these insights, we developed a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and track the project. Our lead consultant worked to align the existing data architecture with the specific reporting needs of each report type. The NobleProg lead consultant recommended modifications to the data stores to optimize the use of Superset and ensure peak performance, while providing the team with guidance on implementing these changes. After optimizing the data store and pipeline, our consultants began building and deploying a variety of reports based on existing requirements and new requests from both the business and its customers. To present the data as requested, custom plug-ins were created to enable more interactive data presentation, including features such as drill-down capabilities.
Outcome The consultants continue to build new dashboards while ensuring that sufficient knowledge is embedded within the customer organization to maintain the dashboards and reports independently. The project is currently ongoing and has been well received by both the customer business and their end clients. To underscore the project's success, it has been expanded and extended to include additional products and end clients.
