SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager with POPM Certification Training Course
Develop the skills needed to lead value delivery in a Lean enterprise — and learn the actions, tools, and mechanisms used to manage backlogs and programs — by becoming a SAFe® 4 Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM). During this two-day course, participants will gain in-depth knowledge about the Agile Release Train (ART), how it delivers value, and how to effectively fulfill their role.
They will also learn how to apply Lean thinking to create Epics, break them down into Features and Stories, plan and execute Iterations, and plan Program Increments. By the end of the course, participants will understand the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps culture, learn how to effectively integrate into the roles of Product Owner and Product Manager, and discover what is needed for continuous improvement of the ART.
To fulfill the role of SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager, participants should be able to:
- Apply SAFe in a Lean enterprise
- Connect SAFe Lean-Agile principles and values with the roles of PO/PM
- Collaborate with Lean Portfolio Management
- Discover continuous value through Program Increment planning

Everyone is welcome to the course, regardless of experience. However, the following prerequisites are strongly recommended for those planning to take the SAFe® 4 Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification exam:

- Experience working in an SAFe environment
- Experience with Lean, Agile, or other relevant certifications

Practitioner in Agile Quality (PAQ) certification
21 HoursThe PAQ program is a three-day, experiential exam preparation course designed to refine practical skills that participants can directly apply in their professional environments.
The certification exam is structured as a hands-on assessment. Candidates are provided with a product backlog release that includes user stories, related design documentation, and a 'multi-drop' application pre-seeded with defects. During the practical assessment, candidates receive detailed instructions on the expected outcomes and have the opportunity to produce the necessary work products. Each assessment includes one or two additional scenario-based questions requiring written responses, totaling up to five questions, which evaluate a range of competencies. These written answers are graded alongside the product backlog release by an independent assessor. The assessment duration is 2.5 hours.
